Balmoral
Working in collaboration with the builders and architects of this beautiful modern home, LUX was asked to design a complementary planting plan to elevate the home’s outdoor experience.
This home’s main garden bed contains a number of large, naturally exposed rocks. In order to work in tandem with that natural landscape, LUX created a tiered-design to enable correct soil depth. The sandstone garden bed design is now covered by prostrate rosemary and mass plantings of Helichrysum petiolare and Strobilanthes gossypinus, which adapted perfectly creating the textural layered illusion of one rock. The random free from Bodega sandstone cladding helps to soften the contemporary design.
